Can task lists be imported?

The import creates a new finalized school task list, links it to a program, and builds units and tasks from your CSV file.

The Basics

Your file must be saved as a CSV (.csv) file. You can create one in Excel or Google Sheets, then save/export it as CSV. Click here to download a template!

Your file needs a header row as the first line (column labels). After that, each row represents either a unit or a task.

Once your file is ready, send it to us via Live Chat or Email it to support@jobready360.com. We’ll import it for you!

Two Types of Rows

Think of your task list like an outline: units are the main topics, and tasks fall underneath them.

Unit Row

Task Row

Purpose

Names a category/unit

Defines a task inside a unit

Unit Code

Required

Required (same as its unit)

Task Code

Leave blank

Required (different from Unit Code)

Description

Unit name

Task description

Important: Always add the unit row first, then list its tasks below it. Every unit must have at least one task.

Column Reference

Columns must appear in this exact order:

Column #

Column Header

What to put here

2

10

Any notes about the level taught. Free text.

11

Quick Tips

  • Column order matters. Even if your headers are labeled differently, the columns must be in the order listed above.

  • Define your unit before its tasks. If a unit row is missing, tasks under it won't import correctly.

  • Every unit needs at least one task, or the import will fail.

  • Only fill in Criteria Type and Criteria together. Filling in one but not the other won't override the class default.

  • Delete any extra blank rows at the bottom of your file before saving.
