How do teachers complete Common App forms and Recommendation Letters for students?
If one or more students request a Letter of Recommendation or Evaluation from a teacher as part of their Common Application when applying for colleges, the teacher will need to complete a Teacher Profile form.

When a student makes these requests, the teacher will receive an in-app notification and an email alert to this effect.
An example of the in-app notification is shown below.

1. Click on Common App Forms
To view any Common App Forms that need to be completed by a teacher, they can click on the Common App Forms navigation option.

2. Select a student

3. Click on Teacher Profile

4. Complete the Teacher Profile form
This form will only need to be completed one time even if multiple students make requests.

5. Click on Submit

6. Click on OK

7. Click on Teacher Evaluation
Evaluations are on a per-student basis and should be completed as part of the recommendation process.

8. Add the subject of the class that you taught this student

9. Score each of the Ratings

10. Enter how long you've known the student and in what context

11. Add the first words that come to mind to describe this student

12. Enter the grade level(s) as appropriate

13. List courses that you taught this student

14. Click on Build Recommendation

15. Click on AI Generate
Since there is a lot of information about the student in Jobready360, you can use the AI Generate option to help you draft a letter of recommendation.

16. Click on Generate

17. Modify the AI suggested Recommendation Content
AI is a great starting point but you should always read and modify what was suggested to ensure that the content is accurate and appropriate.

18. Click on Save

19. Click on the ×

20. Click on Submit to save and send this to Common App
You’ll see a PDF preview of what was generated. This will be sent to Common App. You can print or download a copy of this if you’d like.
