How do students apply and fill out forms for Work-Based Learning (WBL) Eligibility?

In Jobready360, you can optionally enable WBL Eligibility to vet students before placement in a WBL experience. This can include general eligibility criteria such as grades, attendance, discipline, etc. and can be used to allow students to propose their own placements which a coordinate can approve. If students do not already have a placement in mind, if they are approved for eligibility, they can also search for nearby WBL opportunities posted by local employers.

1. Click on Search Nearby WBL Opportunities or Work-Based Learning from the navigation menu

Once eligible, this can be used to view open opportunities posted by employers.

2. Click on Not Yet Eligible to view the eligibility criteria and apply

Each WBL Type can be configured with a description and will be shown to students if the “Is Shown” option is enabled.

3. Students can review eligibility criteria

These criteria are set by a WBL Coordinator and can be as specific or generic as they prefer.

4. Students can also optionally upload their resume

There is a setting for each WBL Type to show or hide the resume upload field. If the student uploads a resume, it can be reviewed as part of the Eligibility Approval process.

Students will click inside the area bordered by blue dashes in order to upload their resume. Note that the file should be uploaded in PDF format.

5. If forms are required, they will be listed as separate tabs

One or more forms may be defined for each WBL Type for the student to complete. Students will click on each tab and submit the corresponding form.

6. After selecting the form to submit, specify/confirm the signers of the form

Most of the time, these fields will be set for the student. After verifying the signers are correct, click submit. If it's your turn to sign the form, you will have the opportunity to fill out your portion of the form. If it's not your turn to sign, the first signer will receive an email to start the form.

If you have more forms to complete (additional tabs) you can move onto the next form and repeat steps 5-6.
