How do we import Student-Based WBL Hours (work logs) in bulk?

To import WBL hours for students in bulk, you can complete the following import template and send it to our support team. Note that you will be required to use of a Student-Based WBL Type named Imported to assign the hours to. We will need to create a new WBL Type specifically for importing purposes. This WBL Type can be Archived after the import is complete and the data will still show on reports.

Please note that at least one of the following is required per row:

Student Email
SIS Student Number
State Student Number.

Column Order/Descriptions: Download CSV Template

Column	Required	What to enter
WBL Type	Yes	Enter `Imported`.
Experience Notes	No	Notes about the student's work-based learning experience.
Employer Company	Yes	The employer's company name. If a matching employer is not found, the import creates one.
Employer Contact First Name	No	The employer contact's first name.
Employer Contact Last Name	No	The employer contact's last name.
Employer Contact Email	Yes	The email address of an existing employer contact.
Student First Name	No	The student's first name, for reference.
Student Last Name	No	The student's last name, for reference.
Student Email	Conditional	The student's email address. Required if both student number fields are blank.
SIS Student Number	Conditional	The student's SIS student number. Required if the student email and state student number are blank.
State Student Number	Conditional	The student's state student number. Required if the student email and SIS student number are blank.
Start Date	Yes	The first date of the work log in `MM/DD/YYYY` or `YYYY-MM-DD` format.
Start Time	No	The start time in 24-hour `HH:MM:SS` format, such as `08:30:00`. Either complete both time fields or leave both blank.
End Date	Yes	The last date of the work log in `MM/DD/YYYY` or `YYYY-MM-DD` format.
End Time	No	The end time in 24-hour `HH:MM:SS` format, such as `16:30:00`. Either complete both time fields or leave both blank.
Hours	Yes	The total number of hours as a number, such as `8` or `7.5`.
Description	No	A description for the work log. If blank, Experience Notes are used.
