Troubleshooting reports

What to do when you can't find a report, it comes back empty, gets stuck, or won't download.

I can't find a report

  • Check the other category tabs. Reports are grouped by topic, such as Careers / WBL or Forms.
  • Ask your administrator for access. You only see reports your role has been given. See Who can see which reports.
  • Check your product. Some reports are only available in Jobready CTE.

My report is empty, or has fewer rows than I expected

  • Check your school and class. Reports only include students in the school and class you had selected when you clicked Generate. Try All Schools and no class, then run it again. See Why your results depend on your selected school and class.
  • Loosen your filters. Clear optional filters, or widen the date range.
  • Check the dates. For work-based learning, an experience must overlap your date range. See How report filters and date ranges work.
  • Check that the data exists. For example, a report on approved hours only counts hours that have been approved.

When nothing matches, most reports still finish and give you a file with column headers and no rows. A few show No matching data found. in the queue instead.

I see "Class is required."

The report needs a class, and it uses the class selected at the top of the page. Pick a class there, then click Generate again.

My report is stuck or shows an error

  • Give large reports time. Big reports, like bulk PDFs or form exports, build in stages and can take several minutes. The queue updates on its own.
  • "Error. Please Try Again." means the report couldn't finish. Delete it from the queue and run it again.
  • Stuck at the same percentage for a long time? Cancel it and run it again. If it gets stuck again, contact support through live chat. Tell us the report name, the filters you used and the time you ran it.

The download doesn't open

The download opens in a new tab. Allow pop-ups for this site, then click Download again. Each click creates a fresh download link, so an older link may stop working.

I have an idea for a report

We'd love to hear it. Reach out through live chat with what you're trying to learn and who will use it.
