Getting started with reports

Who can see which reports

Not everyone sees the same list of reports. What you see depends on your role and on the access your administrator has set up.

Administrators

School administrators see every report available for your product. They also control who else can run each one.

Everyone else

Staff see a report when an administrator has given access to:

  • a security role you belong to, such as Teachers or Cooperative Education Coordinator, or

  • you by name.

Many reports come with typical roles already set up. For example, work-based learning reports are usually available to Cooperative Education Coordinators. Your district can change these, so each report's article lists who typically has access, not who has it in your district.

Some reports also need access to the related feature. For example, Other Document Portfolio Progress only appears for people who can open the Portfolio.

For administrators: give someone access

  1. On the Reports tab, click the report.

  2. At the top of the panel on the right, click Configure Security.

  3. In the Report Security window, add Security Roles to give access to everyone in a role, Users to give access to specific people, or both.

  4. Click Add Report Security.

The list you save replaces the old one. To take someone's access away, remove them from the list and save.

Before you give access: Some reports include sensitive student information, such as special education status or guardian contact details. Check what a report includes before you give a role access to it.

A few report categories, such as Asset Management, are only available in Jobready CTE. Each report's article lists the products it's available in.
